Paintball started in the 1970s by Charles Nelson of the Nelson Paint Company.
They were looking for ways to mark trees and cows. After many tries softgel
encapsulation was identified as the best method of containing the paint in a projectile that would survive being rapidly accelerated when fired, yet break on the intended target.
Today Paintball is played by 10 million people. Statistics show paintball to be a safe sport with fewer injuries than football, soccer and golf.
A great indoor or outdoor game that can be played year round.
The basic "gun" used is called a Marker thus the name of this site - A1-Markers.com
